Faster Betting

Thanks to all players for the positive feedback on the main vDice game. The improvements around faster bet processing are well received and everyone seems to be enjoying them. All feedback has been passed on to the independent development team of the actual game.

Development Progress

Production-ready solidity smart-contract code is leading front-facing implementations of the same code for user game-play. This has been identified as the key issue of concern on the development front.

We recommend developers, interested in adding their own design elements, before approaching vDice, work with Ether Designs for the design of the games, going forward.

Development Update October

In this development update October, 2017, we cover important ongoing development and operational information.

vSlots Beta

We are informed by the developers of vSlots that the Alpha code is performing well on main-net. The UI/UX still has a few small, non-critical bugs. For that we would like to introduce Danny Donahue.

Danny started coding Commodore BASIC in the early/mid 80’s. Now focusing the majority of his time on HTML, CSS, JS (with PHP), GoLang and Ruby, he has expanded into Ethereum in the past year.

His work bringing a first-grade, intuitive and user-functional vSlots game is of the highest order.

vSlots Update

The 3rd party audit of Slot Code by revealed one medium level issue with the Smart Contract code. The developers of that game have fixed that and also integrated a few optimizations that were suggested.

We are informed that the developers of vSlots expect to receive the all-clear from the code auditors, on the final iteration of the game code, shortly.

In terms of the front-end code, node script is now done and we are now just finishing the interface.

We underestimated how long Web3 integration would take. But not by too much and we are almost there. Web3 documentation is still a little thing on the ground. But front-end is 75% done.

The User Experience

A lot of new people have come to Ethereum lately that are less technical. This has been revealed in the quantity and quality of support tickets we are receiving lately.

So the idea here, as always, is to provide a web-based UX/UI for vSlots, as it will be deployed on the Ethereum main-net.

We are hoping to make it the first game in the space where no real technical knowledge is required to play. To that end, we are abstracting away the technical parts with the most intuitive UI and we believe we’ve done a good job of that, given where the technology is at currently.
